About me

My name is Alex. I’m a teacher for English and German.

I grew up bi-lingual and I always wanted to make use of this knowledge.

I studied Linguistics for Germanic languages specialising in teaching English to Speakers of other languages and “Deutsch als Fremdsprache” (Modern foreign languages)
I have been teaching private students and in language schools in Australia and the UK for over 12 years. Currently, I mainly teach online and I have helped students all around the globe, including China, Japan, Korea, the USA and South America to advance their language skills.

Teaching is my passion and it’s very rewarding to see how students start mastering little by little the challenges of a foreign language. In addition to that, it’s very gratifying to deal with people who are interested in different cultures and languages.

It’s very important to set up goals and discover new things about the country/target language, cities, food or anything you’re interested in, and keep them in mind to stay motivated and keep growing.

My lessons are designed in a way to archive the results you want/need and were hoping for: if you need to improve your existing language skills for work, planning to move to a different country, preparing for language exams (IELTS, TOFL, … or Goethe Zertifikat), to communicate with friends or family, you want to reduce your accent or perfect your pronunciation, or simply because you have an interest in learning new languages, I will be able to customise our lessons to your needs.

On top of that, I will also give you an insight into the cultural customs, manners and etiquette.

The one-to-one lessons with me do not run like in school, but on a personal level with individually adapted topics and a big portion of fun! The group lessons run according to the Cambridge University CELTA method and of course also include the big portion of fun.
