About me

Hello dear students!

My name is Mei and I am very glad you are looking at my profile. I am a dynamic and very patient Chinese language teacher who has been teaching since 2018, both online and face-to-face. I make it a point to help my students individually, especially with spoken language. In doing so, I use a variety of different effective and interesting learning methods. Through the classes, you can learn many other perspectives about the people, food, society and also about the economy in China. So don’t hesitate. For example, I find the origin of Chinese characters fascinating and I love to share my knowledge about it. I think you can also learn a lot about Chinese culture and history this way.

I was born and raised in Sichuan. Then I finished my German studies in Chengdu, that is in the southwest of China. By the way, there are cute baby pandas there and my favorite food is fire pot.

Besides German, I also learned English and Japanese. Because of my second bachelor degree in economics, here in Germany, I have often dealt with economic issues related to China, Europe and also many other countries. I can empathize very well with what your possible problems might be when learning a new language. I will be very happy to work with you to solve the problems. No matter if it is about economic issues, preparation of HSK, pronunciation, reading or understanding another culture. The communication between us will be effortless
since I have already obtained a « German C2 Language Certificate » from the Goethe Institute in 2020.
