Ciao! Sono Joana e sono Italiana.

Sin da piccola ho capito che una delle mie passioni sono le lingue straniere perchè ho sempre voluto comunicare con chiunque e ovunque. That’s why I’d rather consider myself a citizen of the world.

I have always been passionate about languages, teaching, and child development. I have been teaching since 2017 and I believe it is especially important that students find me approachable and a good listener, so they can express emotions and feel comfortable questioning me. I have a caring, bubbly, and fun personality that allows students to feel at ease around me.

Teaching is challenging work especially when students come from a different cultural background which is why teachers need to have a broader cultural understanding and the right approaches to teaching students from other countries. Having lived in different places (Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, Australia, and Indonesia) throughout my entire life has prepared me well to face this challenge.
