Rachel

About me

My name is Rachel and I’m from the UK. I’ve been teaching English as a foreign language since 2006. 

I started my career teaching at a language school in Japan and since then I have worked in a university in Rome, as Academic Manager of a school in Southern Italy and even taught English to passengers of a ship whilst sailing around the southern hemisphere. 

I am a speaking and writing examiner for Cambridge Assessment English and I specialise in preparing students for Cambridge exams, having taught all levels of exam from KEY and Preliminary to First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency. 

I also teach IELTS and Academic English to students hoping to attend university either here in the UK or abroad. 

I am CELTA qualified and I am currently studying for the Trinity Diploma in TESOL (DELTA equivalent). Other than my CELTA, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Italian.

I believe that education should be available to everyone and teaching online helps me to connect with students from all over the world.  

I’m a keen photographer and I love walking in the countryside, where I take most of my photographs. I also love water and swim regularly.
