About me

Hi!

I’m Fiona and I am originally from Scotland, but have been living and working in Spain since 2015.

I hold a degree in Primary Education from the University of Edinburgh and have been working in the education sector since 2010. I began my career as a primary teacher before deciding to take the leap and teach English as an additional language. I have held a variety of related roles throughout the last 12 years including a teacher at international summer schools, private language academies, Spanish public schools, teacher coordinator and working with several online companies.

In 2020 I decided to upgrade my language teaching qualification from a Cert TESOL (which I obtained while at university) to the Dip TESOL (equivalent to a masters level). Having completed this I decided to become self.-employed. I ran my own bilingual education centre for children for some time, I still work as the director of studies at a large summer school during July and August, and am also employed as a speaking examiner for Cambridge (among other things).
