Why am I teaching online? – I love the freedom that it gives me! I can work from anywhere and still feel that I am able to connect with my students, provide them with enjoyable and engaging lessons and help them to reach their English language goals. It also allows me to explore other interests, projects and grow professionally, while still doing the job I love.

About me

Hi! I’m Fiona and I am originally from Scotland, but have been living and working in Spain since 2015. I hold a degree in Primary Education from the University of Edinburgh and have been working in the education sector since 2010. I began my career as a primary teacher before deciding to take the leap and teach English as an additional language. I have held a variety of related roles throughout the last 12 years including a teacher at international summer schools, private language academies, Spanish public schools, teacher coordinator and working with several online companies. In 2020 I decided to upgrade my language teaching qualification from a Cert TESOL (which I obtained while at university) to the Dip TESOL (equivalent to a masters level). Having completed this I decided to become self.-employed. I ran my own bilingual education centre for children for some time, I still work as the director of studies at a large summer school during July and August, and am also employed as a speaking examiner for Cambridge (among other things).
