Course content
Every lesson is tailored to your level and targeted at the C1 Advanced exam requirements. Your teacher prepares you efficiently and individually in all key areas: Reading & Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
After the course you will be able to
understand and write complex essays and texts, speak spontaneously and fluently in everyday and professional situations, describe opinions and thoughts clearly while presenting your own points of view, and follow and understand specialist discussions.
CAE exam structure
The Cambridge C1 Advanced exam consists of four papers with a total duration of approximately 235 minutes.
Reading & Use of English – 90 minutes:
This paper has 8 parts with 56 questions and tests your ability to understand complex texts from newspapers, magazines and academic sources. It also assesses your command of grammar and vocabulary at an advanced level.
Writing – 90 minutes:
You write two texts of 220–260 words each. Part 1 is always an essay. In Part 2, you choose from tasks such as a letter, report, review or proposal.
Listening – approx. 40 minutes:
This paper has 4 parts with 30 questions. You listen to lectures, interviews, discussions and conversations featuring various native-speaker accents. Each recording is played twice.
Speaking – 15 minutes:
The speaking test is taken in pairs and has 4 parts: a conversation with the examiner, an individual long turn with visual prompts, a collaborative task with the other candidate, and a related discussion.
The Cambridge C1 Advanced exam can only be taken at official Cambridge examination centres.
