Hola, ¿Qué tal?

My name is Barbara, I’m Peruvian and have been living in Spain since 2021. Before that, I lived in Germany for more than 23 years, where I completed my degree as a translator and met my husband. My native language is Spanish, but I also speak German, English, French and Italian. I love travelling and reading, and I do a lot of sport: kickboxing, bootcamp, jogging and Zumba. Why? Because I love cooking, baking and – of course – eating!

Through more than 25 years of professional experience in various international companies, schools and institutions, I’ve been able to put my languages to use. I currently work as a lecturer in German as a foreign language as well as Spanish and Italian. Languages are my world, and teaching them is my calling.

Both Spain and Latin America offer an incredible diversity of culture, people, landscapes, customs, cuisine and traditions – and sharing this richness is something I truly care about. In my courses, students can immerse themselves in the vibrant Spanish and Latin American world. Because speaking a foreign language requires more than just vocabulary and grammar – it also takes the ability to actively use the language. Motivation, overcoming inhibitions and building confidence are equally important factors.
