Sangeeta

About me

My name is Sangeeta and I am from sunny South Africa. After completing my B.A in English and French literature, I moved to Germany where I studied German literature. While studying there, I also began teaching English as a foreign language, and haven’t quite stopped ever since. After Germany, I lived in the Dominican Republic, running different businesses in tourism, retail, and jnterior design, as well as teaching English along the way to staff and friends.

Eventually my dream to travel the world became too large for a small island, so I returned to teaching English full-time. I taught in many different countries, including Thailand, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Oman. I taught at universities, colleges, and language institutes, and have worked as a teacher trainer as well.  Apart from Academic, General, and Business English, I help learners prepare for IELTS. TOEFL and different Cambridge certificates.

Now I teach online while based on the beach in South Africa, and it is wonderful to travel the world from the comfort of my home. When I am not teaching I enjoy visiting our nature reserves, writing, yoga, or cooking different meals of the world, while watching the whales, dolphins and monkeys come past my terrace to say hello.
