About me

My name is Melanie, and I was born and raised in Germany. I have been teaching German since 2008. I studied to be a teacher with a certificate in German as a Foreign Language. In addition to my teaching at public schools, I taught students at the university in German and prepared my pupils for certificate exams (DSD I). During homeschooling, I discovered the various possibilities of making online teaching entertaining, varied, and interactive. Especially the experience that it is possible to build a trusting relationship online, where learning can take place without fear and in a relaxed manner, impressed me and contributed to my decision to focus more on this. Before my studies, I worked as a nurse in various fields, so professional changes are familiar to me. For over a year, I have been living in Argentina and learning Spanish online, so I am also familiar with the student side and its challenges.
