Course Description

Enhance your French skills with the DALF C1 exam preparation course at homestudies! This 12-week online course is specially designed to prepare you for the globally recognized exam from the Académie Française and, notably, from France Education International. Classes take place in small, interactive groups of 1 to 5 people, allowing for intensive supervision and profound learning. You will acquire French skills at C1 level and specifically train the skills necessary for exam success. Please note that exam fees are not included in the course price.

Prerequisites

- You already have French skills at level C1. This means you can communicate fluidly, understandably, and virtually without hesitation.
- You need the final touch for the DALF C1 exam.
- You must plan at least 1h30 of lessons per week and additional time for homework to support and deepen the learning process.

Course Content

The course content is diverse and includes:
- Exam Preparation: You will be prepared for the exam using model tests to develop an understanding of the process and requirements of the exam.
- Vocabulary and Grammar: You will deepen your vocabulary and grammatical skills to communicate fluently and correctly in French.
- Skills: You will intensively train the four main skills - listening comprehension (CO), reading comprehension (CE), and written (PE) and oral (PO) production - to be confident in all aspects of the language.
- Teaching Material: You will learn with the latest teaching materials specially developed for exam preparation, namely: Le DALF 100% réussite - C1 + some official topics from the FEI website (France Education International).

Learning Objectives

The DALF C1 exam tests your French skills at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Speak spontaneously and fluently without obviously searching for words. Discuss complex topics clearly and structuredly, and show your control over tools for organizing, articulating, and cohering discourse.
- Use the language effectively and flexibly in your social, professional, or academic life, both orally and in writing.
- Understand a wide range of long and demanding texts and grasp implicit meanings.
- Understand long and complex factual and literary texts in French and perceive style differences. You can also read and understand complex instructions and technical documents.
- Choose the style in various texts that suits the respective readers. Write clearly and precisely, and communicate effectively about complex topics.
