About me

I am originally from the United States, but currently live in the Principality of Andorra. I worked as a professional artist for many years before I began teaching English. I received my first TEFL qualification in 2008 and shortly after that, I abandoned my career in the visual arts. This transition allowed me to live and work in different countries such as Argentina, Italy, and Mexico. I worked at a university in Oaxaca, Mexico before coming to Andorra. Here in Andorra, I worked in several English academies and the Andorran public school system before deciding to work exclusively online.

Mother tongue: English
Second Languages: Fluent in Spanish and Italian (C1) Catalan (B1-intermediate level) German (A2 level)

Strengths in Teaching: I have been teaching English for over fifteen years and I have worked with students from all over the world. I’ve successfully prepared many of my students for exams such as IELTS, First Certificate, and the Advanced Certificate. I’ve worked primarily as a General English teacher, teaching all ages and levels. I enjoy finding engaging activities to help my students learn vocabulary and structures, as opposed to memorizing grammar charts. I specialize in “traumatized” students who many have had bad experiences learning English in the past.
