Good teaching for me is…

when my students are as active as possible. To learn a language, you need a basic structure like rules, but above all, a lot of practice. Speaking is very important, especially at the B1 level. Therefore, my favorite methods are mainly action-oriented: this means that students not only work on important grammar exercises but are also actively engaged in everyday topics through presentations or role-plays. This works best when you tackle subjects that the learners find enjoyable.

About me

Hello everyone, I’m Josefine and I come from near Hanover, which is in Lower Saxony, Germany. I am a trained teacher with majors in German and Ethics. During my Master’s degree, I completed an additional certificate in ‘German as a Foreign Language.’ During university, I gained experience and taught a B2.1 level course for students for a summer. After my teaching internship, I went directly to Central America to teach German at a private school for two years. Here, I gained a lot of experience in making German as simple as possible to teach and preparing my courses for language exams. I speak German (native language), as well as English and Spanish fluently.
