About me

I came to German as a foreign language (DaF) as a career changer after I emigrated to Buenos Aires (Argentina) after studying cultural geography in the cities of Göttingen and Bonn. My Argentine students and their insatiable interest in German culture and language encouraged me to make my profession out of my fascination for the learning process itself and the German language in particular. A decision I have never regretted. I have been living in Spain since 2000 and continue to train in the field of German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe Institute. Through my work at the Goethe Institute and the training as a Goethe certificate examiner of all levels, I was able to perfect my specialization.

For 18 years I have been working with enthusiasm as a DaF teacher first in front of the class and for a year now online. I am almost angry that I did not dare to take this step earlier. So much I like my current work.

The online class not only allows me to support the students even more individually and respond better to their personal needs, but it also offers the opportunity to spontaneously access visual materials, which a normal class can not provide. I love to accompany my students on their learning process, to inspire and in doing so, the language does not always have to be at the center of the lesson, but can also simply be the tools, that is, the means to an end.

As a Goethe certificate examiner, I know the exam very well and can target training strategies to help the examinee prepare for the exam as specifically as possible.
