About me

I was born in Spain to Spanish parents in 1975. In 1976 they took me to Switzerland, where I spent the first 43 years of my life, in the cities of Basel and St.Gallen.
I have been teaching German for 24 years at private and public schools. For 10 years I have been a researcher and University teacher in Basel and St.Gallen.

My main research interest is German literature written by so-called “immigrant authors”, such as Japanese-born Yoko Tawada or the Iranian writer Navid Kermani. At the moment, I am studying the works of the Swiss author and journalist Annemarie Schwarzenbach and translating research papers from Spanish to German for the University of Santiago de Compostela.

I look forward to meeting you soon and be helpful for the enhancement of your learning process.
“In order to learn a new language, it takes a few weeks -for your own, a whole lifetime.” Peter Tille, German writer.
